Tortoiseshell butterflies & cosmos sgraffito vessel

This piece has had a small piece of damage to the neck which I have lightly sanded down. This is a small chip and is very slightly noticeable as a dip in the top opening when looking at the whole piece.

Because of this I have reduced the price to £100 instead of the original price of £285

Inspiration for this piece was taken from some the lovely small Tortoiseshell butterfly and I placed them amongst the flowers of a Cosmos.

Every unique design has been created by hand with love, care and attention to detail.

This piece has been thrown on the wheel, left to slightly dry and then goes through many different techniques using drawing, carving, clay slips and sgraffito to create the intricate designs onto the damp clay surface.

The decoration continues across the base which is a very unusual and distinctive feature of my ceramic art. Each piece takes many hours and no two will ever look the same.

This piece measures 15cm high / 6.5cm wide / foot 2.5cm / 286grams
