Bronzed fantail fish sgraffito ceramic wall hanging

This wall hanging is an early example of my sgraffito work and has been thrown on the wheel and fully carved using different tools. After carving and the sgraffito I have added extra slips into the scales of the fish and its eye. This is a one-off early piece showing a very handsome ornamental fancy goldfish called a Bronze fantail which can grow up to 6 inches in length and a greatly sought after and kept in China and Japan. Only the fish have been glazed leaving the rest of the piece matt.
This wall hanging comes with a disc hanger attached and 4 felt feet ready for hanging.
