One fancy fish ceramic wall hanging

Early piece on sale and in perfect condition

This wall hanging has been thrown on the wheel using a very white stoneware clay and while it’s still damp coloured clay slips have been applied to the surface through a handmade stencil. I have used sgraffito to draw the delicate lines onto each design and added extra slip colours to the eyes and bodies. This takes many hours of work, and no two pieces will ever look the same.

Only the fish has been glazed giving it a lovely shimmer leaving the rest of the decoration matte. Once completed these are left to dry for a few weeks and fired twice in an electric kiln.
